Happy Monday everyone and thank you for checking out today’s post.

I hope you all had a great weekend. I am so excited for this week since Halloween is on Wednesday. It’s going to be so much fun now that our youngest daughter is old enough to enjoy and experience it more.

This past weekend was a lot of fun in this house. On Saturday,  my husband and I celebrated our oldest daughter’s 3rd birthday. It’s a bit shocking how fast the time has flown by. It still feels like just yesterday I was holding her for the first time.

For her birthday, we did have a smaller, simpler family get together for her at our house. Everything turned out great and it did not cost us much at all. That is certainly a plus for us since we are getting ready to do our kitchen remodel and with Christmas around the corner.

For an appetizer, I made my delicious Sausage and Broccoli Cheese dip. It’s so easy to prepare this dish, I am going to share the recipe with you below. We used Tostito chips for dipping but you can use really anything that you love for dipping. This dip is great for your football parties and the Holiday get togethers that are getting ready to happen real soon.

My husband grilled hamburgers and hotdogs on the grill and for sides we had macaroni and cheese and baked beans .

I think to make the entire cake, it cost maybe $10 for everything. It was a vanilla cake with vanilla icing. The cake of course was topped with sprinkles for our little princess. It turned out great and was so easy to prepare everything the day of the party.

After everyone left and our girls had a nap, my husband and I took the girls to our neighborhoods park and we spent the rest of our afternoon/early evening there.

  1. Grease a medium sized crockpot
  2. Cut Velveeta into small pieces and place in crockpot
  3. Add the sausage, broccoli, water, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika
  4. Cook on low setting until the cheese is melted and then mix and leave on the warm setting
  5. Enjoy with your favorite dipping chips

I hope you enjoyed todays post and I look forward to sharing my next one with you one Friday. Have a great week and a very Happy Halloween!
