Good morning all!

December has flown by and we are just a few days away from Christmas!! Are you going any where for the holidays? If so, please be careful and safe out there.

What are some of your favorite things to do the last few days leading up to Christmas Eve and then Christmas?

For our family there is two things we must do the few days before Christmas Eve. The first is to one that I have mentioned before, but, it is to get some hot cocoa and a sweet treat and drive around a neighborhood listening to Christmas music and looking at Christmas lights. I am so looking forward to doing this this year and am hoping we can do it tonight!

The next favorite thing we will do happens on Christmas Eve. After we have gotten the kids in bed and my husband has settled down from working, we spend some quality time together getting the gifts from Santa out and set up around the Christmas tree. We will also spend time talking and thinking about the past year and before bed we watch a Christmas themed movie. It is usually either A Christmas Story, my favorite movie, or Home Alone, which is his favorite movie. It is such a wonderful and special time for us to just spend these few  quiet moments together before all the festivities begin the following day.

I know it’s been a few posts since I have shared a recipe with you guys! I am not happy about it one bit. I have a couple I did that did not work out (I’m blaming the nasty weather we have had recently), and then it has been so busy recently between work, kids doctor appointments, and taking care of our house.

Don’t worry, I did find some time to make super easy Christmas cookies using the Pillsbury sugar cookie dough one afternoon with my girls. We even added Christmas themed sprinkles to them! So, if you are pressed for time and need to bring something to a Christmas party, I highly recommend getting a sugar flavored cookie dough and some Christmas sprinkles.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and be safe out there, especially if you are traveling. And don’t worry I will be sharing a delicious recipe on Christmas Eve.
